hi all,

I just recently had my flashing around the chimney replaced as it was getting old and rusty. Today I went up on the roof and noticed that some of the shingles around the chimney flashing does not seem to be intact to the metal flashing. I can actually kind of lift it up on the end that's overlapping on top of the flashing.

Is this something that I should be concerned? should I maybe go buy a roof tar and try seal it up?

Got a picture? Could be it just has not been warm enough to the adhesive on the shingle to adhere.

I agree with Joe, the shingles are probably stiff and as soon as the temperature goes up it will flatten down. With out a picture we can only go by what you are saying so a picture would definitely help.

Do you mean the tabs of the shingles???? You are supposed to be able to lift them. Dont rupture the glass mat, nat. I mean Tim.
