When I built my home 20 years ago, the laundry room was built for a 24" washer dryer combo. I am now looking for a new stackable unit and trying to fit the newer sized 27" models.

The opening of the door to this laundry area is 80" high and 29" deep. The front of it is a bifold door with the track at around 34 3/8 from the back of the wall. According to my appliance guy :
This model is the ‘closet depth’ unit, so depth is 31-9/16” on the washer and 31” on the dryer.

I know I can put a 90 degree on the water supply hoses and there is a few options for a low profile exhaust hose transition to come out of the dryer. Is there any way this will fit into the confines I am working with?

This helps tighten up the dryer.
While that thing is cool, don't think it would work for my needs. We are hoping the stackable will be on the left side of the closet while the dryer vent is on the lower right side of this closet.

Square Hole?

Check to see if the dryer can have it's vent moved from one side to the other. Some of them can. My dryer even allowed it be vented down through the floor.

That is what I would explore first.

Thanks that is the clue I needed. There is no real appliance showroom within two hours of here. There is one place that was pushing me towards a $10,000 oven, I won't return to. The other source is a Fergusons plumbing without any stock. THe appliance sales guy keeps sending me links to models in white when I ask for something metalic so I suspect his research skills.

I just got off chat with Maytag and one of the models he recommended has a side vent so may work.
