Does stone weight have any impact on the house foundation (slab) if "builders stone" are consider as oppose veneers? My house is fairly new and fireplace was build with just drywall around. What type of mortar is recommenced and will "builders stone" be too much for my foundation to handle?

If it is a standard fireplace with a foundation and block to the roof, adding a stone face should be no problem. If it is not, that would depend on the stone thickness, what it is being mounted on, etc.
