I am using a dust control product from Home Depot. The product seems fine but I would like a pros' opinion about the final coat. Should the mud be watered down? To what consistency? Like pudding, yogurt, or stiffer like margerine? Thanks for the advice.

You can thin it some but don't go overboard you don't want it runny.

I thin my finish coats just a little bit.

I'd say add maybe a 1/2 an ounce of water per mud pan and maybe 4 or 5 ounces per half a 5 gallon bucket. :thumbsup:
