Hello everyone. We're finishing a bonus room above the garage which is about 20'x16' or so with a cathedral ceiling and a ceiling fan. The house is a basic colonial with an RLUF80C112 up flow burner with two zones. Downstairs and upstairs. The main duct runs along the ceiling of the basement and up to the attic where it splits off and down to each of the upstairs rooms. When the house was built I made sure there will be enough airflow to add this bonus room. I can only trust what they told me... anyway, I am thinking two additional vents along the ceiling. Like anyone I want easy... would a piece of preinsulated flexible
ductwork do the trick to each vent by putting a Y or a T onto the main feed? OR one piece of duct from the feed to the first vent then continuing on to the second vent? The first vent will be about 8' away from the main feed with the second vent being another 8' to 10' from there. it looks like the ductwork going to the rest of the upstairs rooms are 6". Would I still use 6"?

Thank you!

I doubt they made the duct work big enough for the bonus room. A bonus room, is best served with its own unit. A ductless mini split often works best.
