Hello,


I have a shower drain that I would like to plug (permanently). My home inspector told me water from flushing the toilet may be coming up through the drain. We never saw water coming up with the flush, but I would like to plug this up either way.



Should I simply pour concrete down the hole? Or would that cause an issue for my toilet (or other issues)?

Can you just add a cap?

I think it might be easier to use something like this, since the OP is more likely to have access to the interior of the drain pipe than the exterior.

Any person that makes a statement like that should not be a home inspector.
