Finishing the frame of some cabinets that will be painted white. Have some little gaps off course as things aren't square. What's the best method for filling? Want it to look as smooth and seamless as possible. I used wood filler on a similar project but wasn't as smooth as I hoped, but the type I used seemed pretty gritty (maybe dried out a bit).

Thanks

Sparkle works. Smear it on, let it dry and sand smooth.

While spackle does a nice looking job, I prefer caulking as it is less likely to crack or fall out with use. Cleaning the excess wet caulk off with a damp rag/sponge goes a long ways towards making it look nice.

Is there a certain type of caulk that I should look for? Best to do it before or after painting? I know I can sand spackle or wood filler down to get it even, stop with caulk just smooth it before doing? Thanks!

Might try that, just redid some other caulk and really brightened things up. Any particular type? Thanks!
