I had a new roof put on, along with new fascia. The screws have been countersunk and the dimples need to be filled.

I think wood filler would be best, but some have suggested "bondo" i.e., auto body filler instead.

Thoughts anyone?

I can't find that latex based glazing anywhere, so I'll have to break down and get some of the regular kind, and some of that paint thinner you don't drink . . . . .

I worked with a drunk about 45 yrs ago that said there used to be a paint thinner you could drink but you had to mix it with ice. The poison would stick to the ice and you drank what was left ..... or maybe it was the other way around

The old oil base glazing works fine, just messier. It might shrink a tad compared to the latex - I don't remember.

I was joking about the paint thinner you drink - it's my pet name for hard liquor of any kind. There's Caribbean Paint Thinner, rum; Mexican Paint Thinner, tequila, etc. I've called it that since I once (unwisely) opened a can of real mineral spirit paint thinner with my teeth and got a taste, and it tasted a lot like whiskey (Kentucky Paint Thinner) . . . .

If it's really strong hard liquor, I call it Bug Killer . . . . . :vs_laugh:
