Hello. Can someone tell me the easiest way to fill in the gap in my front steps. It's about an inch deep and up to maybe half inch wide.

I don't want to lift up the entire piece, just fill the gap.

NEVER caulk,,, use a SEALANT !!! np1 is avail in the masonary section of the apron/vest store - same section for backer rod ( closed cell )

OK, well i wound up getting backer rod. cutting in so it can fit then used a tube of concrete sealant. It was probably a little more watery than caulk you use for the interior of the home. It's making the stones not wobble anymore when stepped on. So i figure this will hold me over?

did you use np1 ? think ' conc sealant ' is water-based & will harden into conc,,, if so, definitely NOT the correct mtl
