I'm building a ramp so a 50 lb dog can climb into a car. I made a cardboard mock up and the critical part is a 2 ft compound bend piece that is a pretty flat angle, maybe 2 ft long. It's going to need support.

My plan is/was to cover the cardboard with fiberglass kitty hair and add some kind of extra support. But what to use?

Any thoughts from the experts?

Actually after 2+ layers of Matt on each side I felt it was strong enough to hold the dog. What did surprise me was the cost of the resin and the fiberglass.yyeowww.
I've only done small jobs and got the kit for a repair in the shower. Not sure of the expense. I have my dings professionally repaired on my surfboards and it usually runs me $100 to do a good size ding. Post a pic of the ramp please.
