My question is, can I replace my fascia myself, I have done flooring, siding, plumbing etc. I have a few boards that need replaced and I am concerned about the flashing and How to install new with out causing damage to the shingles? Also when the fascia is removed this will not affect the rafters due to the weight correct? Any advice would be appreciated.:thumbup: John

The only difficulty with fascia is how high it is off the ground. As long as you take it off and install it parallel to the roof line, you shouldn't have a problem with either the shingles or the drip edge.
Removing the fascia shouldn't effect the rafters holding up the roof. They're basically just caps to keep the rafter bays closed up.

Don't try this yourself, it usually takes 2 people & both need to be familiar with working on high places.
Quite often we use the old fascia for a template to cut the new one.
Not usually a difficult job unless you shingles are nailed into it
