There is a margin of quality difference between a builder grade and premium products so without knowing the exact level it is all a guess.

I would guess that $2,000 is equipment cost and the rest is labor and margin.

If you have a couple of other quotes and the $3,800 comes in at or below it is fair, as long the apples are compared to the apples.
