I have older t1-11 wood exterior on part of my residence that has aged with cracks in larger areas. Can't remove and replace the wood due to insulation reasons.
Are there any products I can use to prime or level in these area before painting.

I don't understand the problem with replacing the bad sheets---but, if you must repair--

wire brush--then use a good painters caulk and start filling in the cracks--then prime and paint---the results will depend on your caulking skills--damp rags will help blend the caulk into the wood.

lougars, post some pictures of this damage you're talking about. Fillers are only good for 'very' small repairs and are expensive.

How many sheets are you talking about here?

That just looks like normal T1-11 that's aged. You could always put the Hardi-panel that looks like T1-11 over it and end the problem. But certainly not the inexpensive answer.

Toolseeker pretty much hit the nail on the head. That looks very normal for aged T1-11, even better than a lot I've seen. Your best bet is to just live with what you have or put new siding over it.
