We live in a 1970's ranch style home...the brick is what was called "old brick" when it was built. It's an orange color. Right now the door is a medium blue; the shutters matched, but they were wood and were wearing so we have removed them.
I am tired of the blue..and want a new color. I don't want black or white. Can someone make a suggestion or two? Also, should the door and shutters be the absolute same color?
As a note--I love Southwestern colors.
Thanks

When it comes to choosing the right colour, try to pick the one which works within the wood or brick of your home. If you are really afraid of those bold shades, there are plenty of options to pick from. Go for bright ones like yellow, which is identified with happiness, high energy and warmth. Or try vibrant shades of blue to make it look different.
