Can anyone advise me on whether there is a 'right' sort of paint to use on exterior walls of an old granite house, please (and if so, what?!)? I have recently moved into the house and would like to give the exterior large granite stone walls a fresh coat of paint once the weather warms up a bit but don't want to compromise the 'breathability' of the granite walls. Very new to living in an old house so 'idiot's guide' would be appreciated!

Thank you! :)

Since it's already painted you should be able to repaint with a quality latex house paint after cleaning it.

To verify the current paint is latex you'd wipe/scrub a small area with denatured alcohol. If it tries to dissolve the paint - it's latex. Products like 'goof off' and 'oops' will also work.
