All, I'm new to this forum as of today. I search the Internet for hours to no avail, so I'm hoping someone here may be able to offer some help.

We have a lift master elite miracle one dual gate operator and a few days ago, the postman placed a package between where the gate opens and the brick columns. The gate was not able to fully open and therefore malfunctioned. Every since, this right hand gate will intermittently stop midway when closing, not open or move very slow and then stop before cycle is complete. I'm afraid the motor may be damaged now and this is a 2009 model.

Anyone know it this acuator is repairable, is there any known resets or ideas? Don't want to have to replace the whole expensive system because a package was placed in the path of opening.

Appreciate any and all help,
HDDad :vs_cool:

Hi Dad,
I'm not the pro on these, but did a quick search and saw many parts being offered, even a youtube from 09. A 2009 model is no where near old.
This was my search "lift master elite miracle one dual gate operator parts"

Bud, thanks for the quick reply. I agree and that was my first thought and search was to find a motor. However, all the parts breakdowns for this model doesn't provide a part number for the actual motor assy. Seems like they don't want you changing the motor. That's why I was hoping to hear about some type of reset or other option to restart the motor.

It was all from a single package being put in the wrong place. But what do you do, guess the post office won't pay for it lol.

They might pay for it, but then your mail will be routed through China.

Does the gate have two motors, one for each side? Sorry to be so dumb. Your description almost sounded mechanical, at least from 2,000 miles away. If there are two motors, a swap might tell you if it is the motor or mechanics. These are just wold guesses while we wait for someone who knows :).

LOL, I hate to type so just grab a couple of letters from the ops handle. Dad sounded better than Home Depot.

Bud, thanks for the great idea. Yes there are two operators as we have a two gate setup. I agree that it seems more mechanical but when watching and hearing the two actuators functioning, I can't figure out what the heck is malfunctioning. It been raining for a few days here so whenever we get a few dry hours I may swap them around.

As for the HD, it's definitely Harley Davidson. Love to ride and enjoy this great and beautiful America from the saddle of my steel horse.
