What are your thoughts regarding either leaving dirt under a shed elevated
shed (floor joists are elevated at least 6 inches by sonotubes)
or should one put stones underneath?
I like to have a hump in the middle with slopes down to the outside so water won't there. A cover of sheet poly and some stone around the edges to keep it in place.
Do you have earthquakes? The neighbors shed was sitting on piers on the ground and it fell off the piers, ripping up the shed and trapped their puppy under it.
We put our shed on those tubes you fill with cement, it's rock solid and still basically plumb too somehow.
Half will be elevated and half not. Heavy plastic is going down, then concrete block for the elevated half, plastic down, and pavers for the other half (where the mower stays).
