Just bought new house. Attached is a pic of the panel it's not fully loaded with active breakers so I'm wondering out of the 200 amp main how much available power I have left to add on for loads I may be adding inside the house. How do I determine that? Thanks

Well...You have 13 (if I count correctly) breaker slots open....plenty

But basically the capacity of a service is determined (more precisely estimated) by a load calculation of what you are using. See ....calculateing load capacity.

Gas range and water heat?

It's not about number of spaces available, it's about usage. (how can my bank account be overdrawn? I still have checks!) There is a proper formula for provisioning house power based on the likely actual usage patterns, someone who knows that math far better than I will surely speak up. They'll need the square footage of the house.

At first glance it looks like you'll be fine for the usual things people look to add... wood shop, kitchen circuits, tanning bed, hot tub, 50A RV recep, 100A Tesla charger... on-demand water heat will be touch and go depending on the size of the unit.

By "room" joed means headroom in terms of what additional circuit load the panel can support. This has nothing to do with the number of spaces in the panel. Honestly you're more likely to run out of spaces before you run out of load capacity. That too can be fixed :)
