I live in a older mobile home that has an electric furnace. The furnace started not shutting off and the breaker box would get very hot. I would have to shut it off by turning the breaker off. Then one day when I came home you could smell something burning. When I went to check furnace it wasn't running but it was very hot and hot air coming out of intake vent. What could be causing this to happen? :help:

Hard to understand your post.
Is the blower running or not?
Got a make and model #.
If the blowers not running the furnace is going to get really hot because all the hot air is trapped in the heat chamber.
Could be lots of things, broken belt, bad capasitor, bad motor, loose wire ECT.

Could be a bad sequencer, or a bad blower motor or bad run capacitor.

What have you checked.
