Hello,
I have a four wire feed (white, black, red, ground) from my electrical panel. I have wired the dryer receptacle box and plugged in the dryer, turned it on and heard an odd noise. I shut off the dryer and realized I had incorrectly connected the red to the neutral and the white to the hot. I made the correction (interchanged them) and the dryer seems to be working fine now.
Should I be worried about the mistake in interchanging the red/white wires and potential damage to the dryer - or is the problem resolved?
Thanks for your help,
Brad
