Just as in everything else you have your duffers and you have your pros... this was a pro job, the pipes were neatly cut with a reciprocating saw, they didn't tear out more walls, ceilings and floors than they had to, etc.
I didn't take a pic, but at the next property duffers had been removing cast iron radiators and lost control of one going down the stairs, the result was an impressive hole at the landing!
