well our 13 year old house had no connection from the bathroom fan to the ducting to the roof vent!
so we know things are not always done right.
Can we use the holey strapping to stop the sagging flexible insulated vent pipe - installed today? it is from a fan installed to keep the humidity down in the crawl. controlled by a humidistat.
2nd pic why is all that insulation sticking out of the ducting? maybe from the gas furnace. do we do anything?
The new today elbow joint leaks air from the joints. what if anything do we do? and we want to tape up all that pink insulation. they used to think it was harmless. we know better now!
thanks all

Sure looks like it was all taped with duct tape, strange but that was the wrong tape to used and installed in the wrong direction.
It started out being called duck tape because it was water resistant, was never intended or should be used on ducts.
Need foil tape instead.
What does no bathroom vent have to do with the rest of this post?
I'd be using this to support the flew lines.

I always called it DUCT tape cause it was used for metal ducts!

No need to order anything.
Any Lowe's or HD, HVAC supply will stock it.
They do not have everything they sell on the net.

The insulation is sticking out mostly because of poor workmanship. It should have been tucked in and then the plastic taped or duct tied to the metal.

Mastic or foil faced tape to seal the el. Why blow air out into the space your trying to move it from.
