I am looking at possibly purchasing a home that has a concrete floor, no basement. The duct work is run under the concrete. This home has been flooded by nasty flood water. Will this duct work under the concrete still be good and not have to be replaced? i am hoping a good cleaning is all it will need.

Any I've seen in concrete had to be sealed off because of mold and or it had started to collapes. Since it's been flooded before I would think the mold would be a given.

I have never seen duct work buried in concrete before. Considering the concrete is cold is this a poor way to heat? I live in North Dakota for god sake, It is cold.
A poor way to heat with duct work depends on whether you want to heat the attic or the floor with lost BTUs. Mine is pvc under slab and if I built again it would be the same.
