Dual Zone Ductwork, Finishing Basement

Hi All,

I have dual zone heating & cooling (for main level & upper level), and I am now finishing my basement.

Does it matter which of the two zones I tap into for my basement? Any advice?

I will have a bedroom in the basement and our existing bedrooms are all on the upper level, so my inclination is to tie my basement into the upper level zone so all the bedrooms in the house are on the same zone.

anyone?

The basement bedroom will be really cold in the summer when the A/C runs, and probably be cold in the winter too as seconds floors tend to get a fair amount of their heat from the heat that rises from the first floor.
