Recently on a very humid day ,even worse inside ,I painted a room on a construction site As soon as it started drying it looked like 80 grit sandpaper all over the ceiling. Upon investigating all the rough pieces were on the board right next to where the taper had sanded his compound.I looked at a couple of small sections which had been unpainted and could see the paper on the board had been scratched and opened up
To me the only solution.would be for the tapers to skim the rough spots
Sanding of the rough spots and repainting did not leave an acceptable finish IMO The tapers blamed it on me...lol They said it was because I had sprayed it (even though I backrolled the primer)
I told them they need to go to a higher grit ,thats what they did on an airport I worked on when it was humid I was only a worker there and cant get any info from that job
Any technical info on this issue would be appreciated
