Drywall repair gone bad

1024 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Grants Painting
I repaired a large hole in a wall then used a paint that includes primer in it to paint the whole wall. The patched area has a duller appearance than the rest of the wall. Should I go a head and prime the patched area, then repaint the patched area?

It's to late to prime----how many coats do you have???? Three are needed to get the wall patch to blend in----

Thanks guys, should I apply three coats to the whole wall or just the patched area and fan out
Add one more coat to the patch---then roll the entire wall---

Yes do this. Or you can use a spray can of alkyd primer. Couple light coats. Then feather out with your wall paint that really just has a cheap thickener in it so. 2 in 1 paint is a marketing RIPOFF.
