Drying newly milled

594 Views 10 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Go4it
I mill a lot of my wood. In the drying process I paint the ends but still ( after 6
Months ) End up with a lot of curved and cracked ends. I going to mill up about 300’ of cherry wood and would like to have a better outcome. Any ideas?

Out of curiosity, what are you painting the ends with? Maybe something like Anchorseal would help.

And you might find this resource helpful. Especially where it talks about weighting and clamping your stickered wood piles.
