I am in the planning stages of some home renovations. Included in the plans is the addition of an elevated deck coming off the second level of our home. Currently the lower level bathroom and laundry room vent out the back of the house. Is it problematic for these vents to discharge under the deck? The deck will be approximately 8' off the ground.

Also in the renovation plans is the addition of a laundry closet on the second level of the home. Assuming that the answer to the above question is yes, it is OK to vent a dryer under an elevated deck, the next question is whether it is OK to vent a dryer down, rather than up? This is to say, for aesthetic reasons, I'l prefer to vent the 2nd level dryer through the lower level. Is this OK?

Thanks so much for the help!!
