I was mapping out my electrical panel today, when a drop of water landed on my shoulder, I look up and see my dryer vent with condensation all over it.
Its really cold today (-17 C, +1 F) so that might have something to do with it.

I always knew my dryer vent exited the house above my panel but I never really thought about it.

So I was wondering is this an issue I should worry about (see pic)?

If the water enters the panel it may lead to problems in the future. As the vent above the panel it may violate the code for clearence above the panel.

I'm seeing two vents, what the cheap plastic one for? If that to a dryer toss it in the trash and redo it would soild pipe or at least one like the other metal one you have.
Insulate those dryer lines and make sure there angled toward the outside to stop the dripping.
Looks like it condinsation from the cold moist air under the house hitting the warm pipes.

You may want to check the dryer vent shutter outside to make sure it is stuck in open postion due the lints can actually keep them open all the time.

Second thing this part is you should get rid of alot of flexiable ducts much as possible. that part which I am refering both vents if you keep the smooth ductwork it will not build up much as flexiable duct will do the corruaration can act like baffles it can build up pretty fast and you will have to clean them more often.

Now the third thing I am not 100 % sure but I am pretty sure the CEC ( Canada Electrique Code ) will say do not want any forgen items above the deliecated space.

One of our readers will confirm this question when he read this one. due he is from Canada so he will know something with this.

Merci,
Marc

Merci,
Marc
