Hello to all

The exhaust wall plate on our dryer is very loose bc the screws/anchors in the sheet rock are shot. Is there a larger profile vent that is 2" out from the 4" male flange where the flex line attaches? The idea is to put new screws & anchors in Sheetrock that are farther out from the exhaust hole area so it has something more to bite into?

I actually do not know....but I would think there would be different configurations by different makers on the internet.

Would a bigger face plate, maybe made out of hardboard or even plywood work... or some toggle bolts grab.?

Thanks MTN - we are putting house on mkt in early spring and for an inspection, I want to make sure everything is by the book on appearance. If this was my country place, I would have fixed like you stated - thanks, tstex

If I remember correctly I bought a larger wall plate at Home Depot for our house . It was aprox. 12x12 aluminum . Made for a clean looking install .

thanks P986S - I went to HD today and looked on line as well and have not found anything w a larger profile

I think it was in the section where they have ALL the different sized piping , I don't think it was in the dryer vent section . But it was 2 years ago and a lot of beer has flowed since then .
