Have new electric dryer. Have properly installed a three prong dryer cord to match the 3 prong dryer outlet. The outlet is on a separate, double pole 30amp breaker that is new.
The dryer will power on, but when the cycle starts it will stop and start flashing error--and an separate, unrelated GFCI outlet will trip. The circuit is on its own 20 amp breaker. I'm perplexed!
One thought: the dryer outlet is a three prong plug, but appears to be a four wire wire: I see a white neutral and a copper ground, both connected in their proper place on the bus bars.
Any thoughts?
Thank you!!
