It appears every guide and article on drip irrigation systems assumes you're hooking up to a hose bib, as do the products I'm finding online. But that's not what I'm doing.

My plan is to run 1" PVC to the distant area that needs to be irrigated. I've spent over an hour trying to find products to make this happen, and I'm either thick as a brick, or this is tricky stuff. The boxes with ??? are the missing pieces. Product names and models would be very much appreciated.

I do use a filter on some of our drip lines. We are on direct well water for irrigation. Some of our lines are so long (built-in emitters) that a pressure reducer is not needed. I always open up the end figure 8....and flush out at the beginning and end seasons of using the drip.

Thanks guys. I'm on well water so definitely need the filter. I may or may not need the pressure regulator, but I'll err on the side of caution.

I found the solution, btw. The three components shown in this picture don't map one-to-one to the boxes in my original picture, but they do meet the needs of the transition. Basically, in my original picture, I didn't consider the need for a PVC reducer, and also didn't consider I could get a filter and regulator in a single product.

From left to right:

1. PVC 1" slip to 3/4" FNPT (link)
2. Combo drip regulator and filter unit, with 3/4" MNPT ends (link)
3. 3/4" FNPT to 3/4" barbed adapter (link)

There is a formula used to help you out if you have a lot of runners/emitters: You should find info on how much water per hour....one foot of built-in emitter line will put out. Some are spaced 6 inches and another 12 inches. Emitters, you might know, have output stamped on them. Usually in liters.
