I have a 25' round pad in my backyard that I am building into an outdoor kitchen/fireplace area. The slab sloaps slightly down towards the fireplace. After a large rainstorm I get around 1/4" - 1/2" puddle on both sides of the hearth. The puddle is around 15" x 24". It disappates as the pad dries. What is the best way to fix this problem? The pad is 6" deep. Should I drill a small hole on each side? Will the drainage cause more problems under the pad? I plan to resurface the pad next year after the area is complete.

Thanks,

Curtiss
