I just installed a goodman split ac unit ito my existing hot air furnace. I have 2 options for the coil drain. I could make a hole in my concrete basement floor and make a floor drain, which i would rather not do, or buy a little giant condensate pump and pump the water 20 feet away to my washing machine drain. This is my preffered method, but i am wondering if i should use rigid pvc with a trap coming from the coil, going into the pump, and output rigid pvc to the drain? Or just use the flexible tubing? Is a trap recommended with a pump? Thanks.

I prefer traps even on positive pressure coils.

Use PVC from coil to pmp. And flex hose from pump to drain.
