Drain Stack Configuration Question

Hi,

I am about to get started on my plumbing for the basement project. This will begin with plumbing the drains for the dishwasher/sink with disposal, washer, and vanity/lav drain.

Please reference my novice sketch and let me know your opinions.

(What I am looking for is wether the "stack" order I have drawn is adequate)

Thank you in advance.

If those are all dumping into the same vertical piping, what you have there is called a wet vent. I'm not sure if that's allowed in your area, but it sure as heck isn't allowed where I live. (UPC Based code)

Then again, your drawing is somewhat incomplete... hard to tell exactly what you plan on doing.

Thats a major over a minor. The washing machine pumps alot of water fast. Dont install a major over a minor.

Thank you, Hammerlane!

So, let me get what you are saying correctly... Are you suggesting that I have the following setup?

(from top down)

A: Vanity/Lav drain (minor)
B: Kitchen sink/dishwasher drain (major)
C: Washer drain (major)

Please advise.

Ps. Alan, I plan to use Air Admittance Valve (AAV) to vent my kitchen and vent my washer and vanity out the air vent pipe (which I believe is 2").

I think you need to clarify: are these all dumping into one main stack drain on the same floor?

If so, what distances are each of these from the main stack? Why can't you re-vent to avoid wet venting?

Give us a little bit more of an idea of what is going on.
