I am attempting to tile a small basement bathroom. In an attempt to level it I used some self leveling stuff. It seems as if the self leveling compound never got hard. It is like hard moist chalk . I really dont think the thinset is going to grab a hold of it. Now what?

Take a stiff scraper and scrape off all you can. Get a stiff wire brush and use some water sparingly and scrub it till it all comes off. Wash the floor down several times to get rid of all the residue.
