I am putting a propane 30,000 btu heater in my shop/ garage. It requires a vented exhaust.
Is a double wall vent pipe required throughout or just thru the attic area of shop?

most of the time the double wall vent is started on the finished side of ceiling and to the outside of roof with a flashing, storm collar, and cap.Unless it is a high eff, then pvc can be used thru wall or ceiling.

Another question---is there a special heat proof seal tape for the joints in addition to sheet metal screws?

no tape needed, the sections twist lock together for a seal. :thumbsup:
