Bought a new house and a minor problem I tried to figure out was why one latch closes on a double latch window I have. Attached in the pictures you will see that one of the latches on my bottom sash is higher than the other. The top sash that is fixed is level.

Is there a way to adjust the bottom sash to make it level?
Or is this due to the window frame not being built correctly?

You could check bottom of sash to see if any junk is preventing proper closing . Otherwise , window may have been installed "out of square" .

Is this a double hung or single? Looks like a single.
