Is it ok to put a dorm size fridge in a wall?

If so How many inches in the back should there be of air space?

Nearly all fridges have their "coils" built into the side walls nowadays. This means you need to leave about 2cm space each side. The compressor tray will stick out from the back of the fridge enough to give you enough air gap behind (don't have it hard against the back due to vibration.) Allow at least 1cm above to let the water vapour out.

All of it. Unless the unit is rated to be placed inside an alcove, it needs as much air as it can get, to help cool down the coils, if they are open on the back of the unit. Reading the remarks on the unit, it appears that it is a pretty loud unit. Placing it into an alcove, will only enhance that noise and make it even louder.

It is still going to be a loud unit. If you have a restaurant supply house in your area, that resales refurb equipment, that would probably be better than one of those cheap throw aways that you are looking at. There are a few compact commercial coolers, that are pricier, but made for being placed inside cubbies, and most will be not as noisy, unless you get a fan that when it is running, knocks against the guard.
