Hello All,
I am doing a basement renovation where I plan on adding a bathroom the doorway however is in a load bearing wall, Am I safe to cut out 2 studs and install the door way? or should I support both sides before I remove them?

This is in the basement of a 2 story home?

If there are Columns holding up that beam down the center, that wall is not load bearing.

I would put in proper columns to hld up the Center Beam, before doing anything with that wall.
I think you might of missed that the joists are over lapped on the wall. It is definitely load bearing.

Op you may need to solid block in between the joists on top of the wall depending on your seismic zone.

IRC 2012
R502.7 Lateral restraint at supports.
Joists shall be supported laterally at the ends by full-depth solid blocking not less than 2 inches (51 mm) nominal in thickness; or by attachment to a full-depth header, band or rim joist, or to an adjoining stud or shall be otherwise provided with lateral support to prevent rotation.
Exceptions:
1. Trusses, structural composite lumber, structural glued-laminated members and I-joists shall be supported laterally as required by the manufacturer’s recommendations. 2. In Seismic Design Categories D0, D1 and D2, lateral restraint shall also be provided at each intermediate support.
this is the closest detail i could find that depicts what i am talking about, but it refers to tji's.

Mingledtrash I have resorted to having to use my iPhone, because of recovering from Cataract Surgery.

Still hard at times to clearly see details in photos, until I get my other eye done.

I see the detail now, since my eyes are not killing me like they were yesterday.
