I am trying to install a 12V LED puck at the top of the cabinet. There is wire already available. I would connect the electrical wire to a transformer using wire nuts, then connect the transformer to the LED puck. I have drilled a hole at the top of the cabinet. The wire and the transformer will be placed on top of the cabinet.
In this case, do I need a junction box to house the connection between the wire and the transformer?
My problem is I can't seem to find a small enough junction box to fit through the hole (there is cover between the ceiling and the cabinet, can only access to the wire through the hole).
Thank you very much.
