Just a thought... I recently bought some hardwood veneer Chinese plywood at on of the Big Box stores here in Chicago, and I had to leave it in the garage for two weeks to allow a "chemical" smell to dissipate.
Considering the recent problems with Chinese drywall, and based on my experience, I would be leery of
any Chinese engineered wood product for indoor use, especially if anyone in my family had known chemical sensitivities.
BTW, when I posted about my experience on another froum someone from corporate at the Big Box company posted a reply stating that they did not and (never had) sold Chinese Plywood - despite the fact that the mill stamp on mine stated "made In China".
So at least some major importers don't know what they are selling.
