Do I need to prime when painting over these colors?

I'm painting BM's Grey Owl over BM's Georgetown Pink and Valspar's Monpelier Olive. I found random pictures online of all colors that I've posted below. Is it necessary to prime before applying the grey?

Not needed at all. Primer is for Bare Drywall and for mud patches. Imo if your going to prime to help a color cover in 2 coats just do 1 more coat of finish. Tinted primer is helpful for a color change if your going from say white to bright yellow. Black to white. More extensive color changes, other than that no need at all. A good quality paint will cover in 2 coats and you will be fine.

+1, AlphaWolf nailed it.
I find that gray is probably the best color in terms of hiding. You definitely do not need a primer. I don't necessarily recommend it, but get some good paint and you might even be able to get away with 1 coat.

True!

However, any defects may need to be "repaired" (appropriately) and the repair may then need to be "spot primed".
