It’s amazing how much bad information is out there.

Does anyone else have any “How Not To Do It” YouTube Videos?

I’m not talking about the guy getting smacked with a board stuff but just bad information.

Wow... I may have actually done work that sloppy before, but I knew enough to not put it on Youtube as if it was correct!
It takes a lot of balls to do work that poorly then put it up on You Tube for the whole world to see how incompetent you are.
If I was going to put something like that on YouTube, I sure as heck wouldn't show my face. I'd probably also refrain from calling it, "Colek."

Not to get off the tracks here but it amazes me how many people come here and call it "chalk".

ie;
QUESTION: "What kind of chalk should I buy to chalk my bath tub?"
ANSWER: Beats the hell out of me...Purple maybe?
:(
That video is only one from that guy on how to fix “that wall“, look at some of the other suggested videos next to it.

I'm afraid to.:)
He chalks like me!
Look up mark sullivan on expert village, he has a couple building a fence, planing a door

I would upload it but i don't know how:whistling2:
ha, that is a good one. Best one is where he is setting his posts with pieces of lath and drywall screws. have to love when he holds his level plumb at the end..
These tips have to be the right way to do it. How can you disagree with the Village Experts?:balloon:
A couple years ago on a pro forum we discussed some videos on youtube from a guy who had a carpet repair company. My 6 year old grandson could do better work.

I've got progressive trifocals & all, but I could swear he was holding the top of the level about an inch away from the post.

If you think that's bad, you ought to here what they call it in out east around Boston.
If you plug the drain, you can save money for the caulking by omitting the house wrap.......Lol.

wouldnt let that guy water my plants :jester:
Watching videos like this is nothing but an ego booster if you had concerns that you were doing it wrong at all.
I was looking through more of the ``expertvillage`` videos and found these gems...

wow....

that gas leak one is just scary.

All these years i've been under the impression that you cant find leaks in a 0.5 psi (post regulator) residential gas lines with soap and water without disconnecting and pressurizing the system.

what a joke....how do people get away with this stuff.
