I have a boat lift with a bremas reversing switch and the new motor I just bought does not have a color color coding as my previous motor di it is only numbers .I have the scematic for a bremas but I am not a electricion so I am having trouble hooking it up:surprise:can anyone help me out? line one connects to p1 ccw p2 t3 t8 line 2..t2 t4 t5 thats 115v cw line1 p1..p2t3 t5...L2t2 t4 t8

Post some pics of the motor and the connecting leads, the reversing switch, and the manufacturer's wiring diagram.

My scanner does not work.see if i can get some help with scanner,because no one around here seems to know squat about this switch

Number 5 is the black and number 8 is the red. I hope you made note of which wire went where on the switch?

All you have to do is interchange 5 & 8 to reverse the motor.

No one needs to know anything about your switch, its the wire numbers you now have that you needed.

And like the previous poster stated, reverse T5 & T8 to change direction

Thats it. You are right.i just needed to which one was black and red.i know you can believe all the bs i have heard in the past week from " master electrictions" thanx

Most residential electricians know little about motors.
