Disposal of outside installed gas grill

Our gas grill post corroded and fell over yesterday. The gas had been turned off going into the grill six months ago. About three inches of the post is sticking up from the cement base in the ground. Other than consulting our township for guidelines and a plumber is there anything else I should be considering?:(

Hi, I am not sure what your question is on this. As far as disposal, it all depends on where you live. Without a location in your avatar, it will be hard for anyone to help you. Where I live, I can simply take the post and cement to the local transfer station. Just pulled out an old basketball pole and hoop today and that is where I am headed.

For the gas line, you may want to get a plumber in there to abandon it.
