Hi Guys - this is a pretty basic question but I'm a new home owner and learning as I go.

I have a loft that has a group of LEDs that is controlled by four manual light switches. You read that right, four switches and the entire loft is only 150 sqr ft. I'd like to put a dimmer switch in but I'm not sure if there will be a problem since the system uses four light switches. I've safety installed dimmer switches (three way Lutron Diva C.L Dimmer Switch for Dimmable LED) throughout the house and the loft is my last area.

Thanks in advance for any help or info. I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer. Again, this is my first house so I'm still learning the basics.

Thanks - almanorrider.

2 of the switches are 3 ways, 2 are 4 ways. You need a 3 way dimmer and replace one of the 3 ways. Electrically the switches are placed 3-4-4-3. A 3 way has 3 terminals excluding the ground, 4 way has 4 excluding ground.

One more caveat. Many dimmers require a neutral wire connection, make sure the switch you pick to replace has a neutral wire in that box.
