I have a slow running bathroom drain which I tried to open up using a lye based drain cleaner. It still drains slowly. I would like to try a different product which is acidic.

I know you're not supposed to mix them. How much time do I have to wait to ensure that I don't cause a reaction? The drain is flowing still and totally emptying the sink.

drain cleaners may not work in your case. Sounds like the clog is further down the line and requires snaking. Kitchen and bathroom drains are notorious for this.

Try removing the trap and snake from there. Once cleared use bioclean as a prevented measure for keeping kitchen and bathroom sink drains clear.
