How do I use the DMT7 multimeter to show if a dryer heating coil is working or no longer functioning?

2 ways to do it. either set it for ohms(safest way) and ohm out your element or set it for voltage, turn dryer on and check for 240 volts to the element.

UNPLUG IT FROM ITS POWER SOURCE FIRST

THEN use your ohm meter.

It could also be one or both of the two resistors that are there. You can check them with your ohm meter also.:)
