I’m hoping to change the cartridge and check valve on a Delta faucet. This set up is pretty unique, and I’m having a hard time finding instructions on how to get the check valve out. I have the cartridge out.

Can someone advise? I don’t want to just start pulling and damage something.

I’m hoping the cartridge fixes the issue but decided to order the check valve too since it was fairly cheap.

Cartridge should fix it no need to change out the entire valve housing unless it is severely damaged and it doesn't look like it is to me.

Make sure you install cartridge correctly. It is marked H and C. The H usually goes to the left. Done. Enjoy your new cartridge.

In the future, just call delta for a free replacement. They are warantee for life. Just a suggestion.

Thanks Jmon. I had heard that about Delta but I also heard that people had issues getting things from them to replace defective parts. So I decided to just get one. Maybe they’ll reimburse me (they won’t).

Just outta curiosity, do you know how I would take the check valve out if I did want to? Though I hope the cartridge does it.
